Troy Davis

Troy Davis(Originally posted September 22, 2011)
Here we go again, pretending to be so unified as a people. As tragic as Troy Davis' death was, it mainly proved two things. Firstly, that we are puppets to the media. The media continues to dictate the direction of where our attention goes. Secondly, that all the delusional prayers to a sky-daddy and his trusty son, to spare Mr. Davis' life were once again ignored. But also ignored are the deaths of innocent Blacks at the hands of other Blacks everyday. What about the little girls in Chicago and Detroit who were shot to death from stray bullets by gun-slinging "Knee-Grows?" This kind of nonsense happens all the time. Just turn on the N.E.W.S. (Negroes Endangering White Supremacy) today and see what other brother was murdered yesterday. Oh, but the Troy Davis case was different right? Because it was the state of Georgia doing the executing? Or because he allegedly killed a White man? Let's stop pretending like we're so close knit as a people. We only become outraged when the media tells us to become outraged. We should be outraged everyday about brothers being killed by other brothers. But, we've adjusted to that kind of killing. But let it be a Black & White thing and we all of sudden pretend to be one big happy family. America represents about 4 or 5% of the world's population but accounts for one-third of the world's inmates and many innocent people have been executed by various states. Did we expect anything less from this country? But remember, WE are killing each other everyday but where's the outrage over that? Oh, yeah, we're waiting on the media.
